A work of art

Inspired by Palermo’s goal, Ricardo Martínez Gálvez created the painting after the Greece game and it is currently on display in Plaza San Martin in Buenos Aires.

Im hearing little commnets here and ther that Maradona was more then pleased with the way Pastore played and linked up with Messi with the few minutes he had against Greece and that ther might be a possibility he could start against Mexico wanted to ask u guys if u heard the same thing or know if it is a possibility?

I have not read or heard anything indicating that Pastore will replace Veron in the starting lineup against Mexico.

I’ll be shocked if it happens. I don’t think it will.

But I think it does need to happen.

I hope its true…. Pastore will change the pace of the game linking up with Messi and Di Maria.

palermo is such a legend its incredible. honestly i am more comfortable with him coming on than milito.

milito proved in his time on the pitch why higuain has been starting over him. sometimes fans get too carried a way with club form and milito has never done anything for the NT ever and he obviously does not link up well with messi and the other players we have.

when higuain plays, he, tevez, and messi switch positions flawlessly, but milito isn’t very good at that, he is best used as a lone striker, a position he will never play for argentina given the other talent we have

palermo is a great player, and a great person. i still remember when he went to see buounotte in the hospital after he was in a car crash…

i think palermo is going to write his fantastic movie, and i think it may just have a happy ending, just don’t let him take a penalty 🙂

I totally agree with you regarding Milito.

Also about Palermo. I think he has shown that he’s a good person and a positive influence within the WC squad. Unlike Riquelme, who would’ve been a cancer on the WC squad.

This may sound crazy or maybe not but at this point I would prefer Palermo over Milito coming off the bench.

Palermo, for whatever reason, seems to have the knack for scoring goals in critical moments of games.

I like the painting. I’d like to see more of them.
