Higuain negotiating with Chelsea

Will Higuain wear the Chelsea shirt next season?

According to a report published in MARCA, Pipita Higuain’s father is in negotiations with Chelsea working on a potential transfer.

Chelsea is reportedly willing to pay 40 million euros for Higuain.

It is no longer a secret that Real Madrid does not have any problems with selling Higuain.

Higuain is currently one of the lowest paid Madrid players and is asking for a salary of 4.5 million euros per season which would still not make him one of the highest paid players on the club.

But Madrid has refused in the contract negotiations to even offer a salaray anywhere near what Higuain is asking for.

The Madrid president & club board do not consider Higuain to be a player that can generate significant marketing revenue for the club so therefore Higuain will not be paid a salary that in their view should only be given to star players that, again, generate marketing money for the club.

Higuain has obviously earned the right to request a salary increase but he is with a club whose mode of operation is not solely based on football performances & results.

In the situation that he is currently in, Higuain really does need to move on and join a club that will pay him the type of salary that he deserves as one of the best forwards in the world and join a club that will recognize his true worth which has nothing to do with shirt sales and product endorsements.
