AC Milan prepare bid for Argentinean Nicolas Otamendi

AC Milan are preparing a bid for highly-rated Argentinean defender Nicolas Otamendi , according to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri are reportedly willing to pay Velez Sarsfield 12 million euros for Otamendi but face competition from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Velez are believed to be holding out for 20 million euros for the young defender who seems likely to start as right back for Argentina during the World Cup.

Milan are eager to renew an ageing squad ahead of the 2010/2011 season and have already agreed to sign 34-year-old Chievo central defender Mario Yepes.

Anyone who buys this kid is a moron. he is a muerto. i think he may be the worst player to ever represent argentina in a world cup.

heinze gets a lot of crap, but he has now won league titles in england, spain, and france. Did you see his golazo yesterday? i can stomach heinze, but otamendi should have been given the chance to wear the shirt. muerto
