Champions League Semi-Final

The first leg of the Champions League Semi-Finals gets under way today.

Barcelona is away in Milan to take on Inter.

Messi will be in Barca’s starting eleven and Gaby Milito will be on the bench. For Inter, Diego Milito, Samuel, Cambiasso and Zanetti will be in the starting lineup.

Normally, I would not root for any Mourinho team but in this case I will because I really want to see Zanetti win a Champions League.

Of course I want all the other Argentine players in Inter to win the tournament as well but Zanetti is one of my all-time favorite players and considering that he will get snubbed once again with the national team and miss out on another World Cup, I would like for him to end his career with a major achievement such as winning the Champions League.

I won’t be rooting against him and I hope he plays well today but I want Inter to get a good result.

It’ll be interesting to see what Inter will do to contain Messi.

Any thoughts on the game?

Hopefully, we’ll see some good football.

hey wanna ask u sm thing !!! why are u against Mourinho?? any problem with him?? has he done any thing against argentina?? jst wanna know that !!!!

  2. pintadoazulblanco says:

I just don’t like the way he conducts himself, the arrogance, the big mouth, the lack of class he shows when his team’s lose, etc..

That said, I have no problem recognizing that he is a great manager.

  3. Chris says:

I agree with him being a great manager, but yeah, i think he can work on the way he conducts himself !

I also hope Inter does well today, I dont see why Inter can’t win today, just cuz its Barca? no, I have faith in Inter, I hope all our players do well and no injuries.. I do hope Messi scores at least 1, but I do prefer Inter to win.. Hopefully the Dumb ass is watching today, and keeps in eye on Zanetti and Cuchu.
    FORZA INTER !!!!

    ps. happy 4/20 everyone 🙂 HAHA… just kidding 🙂

    Inter 1-1 Barcelona

  5. pintadoazulblanco says:

In the second half Inter needs to take back possession of the ball. If Barca continues to control the ball, they will start scoring goals and put the game away.

Milito cannot miss any more scoring chances. It’ll come back to haunt Inter.

  6. Chris says:

Zanetti,Cuchu and samuel having a good game so far ???

did I read wrong, or was it an error by Cuchu that lead to Barca’s tie?

how’s messi look on the pitch???

sorry ron, i can only follow it thru, wont be able to watch it till tonight.

  7. Chris says:

sorry for all the questions ron…anxious, so im curious how our guys are playing since im assuming YOU are watching the match..

  8. pintadoazulblanco says:

Messi has not had any scoring chances yet.

Zanetti, Cambiasso and Samuel are having good games so far. It wasn’t Cuchu’s fault on Barca’s goal. The Barca player sent a ball into the box from the left side and Maicon walked around the box aimlessly and didn’t take Pedro who was unmarked and kicked it in for the goal.

  9. pintadoazulblanco says:

No problem Chris, ask any and all questions. I’m at home watching the game.

I think Inter can win the game but they can’t allow Barca to control the ball and Milito cannot keep wasting good scoring chances.

Inter’s backline is solid and Cambiasso and Motta are holding it down in the middle.

Messi has not had alot of contact with the ball so far.

  10. pintadoazulblanco says:

    Inter 2-1 Barca

    Maicon with the goal.

  11. pintadoazulblanco says:

    Milito Goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Inter 3-1 Barcelona

  12. pintadoazulblanco says:

Milito injured, coming out of the game.

    75th minute.

  13. Chris says:

    WOW !!!!

    shocking result so far…

    IT CAN BE DONE !!!!!
but then again, we all know how Barca is, at any given moment they will score on you and tie the game.

    I hope milito is ok.

  14. Pablito says:

MOURINHO IS LIGHT YEARS AHEAD OF GUARDIOLA! So upset with the result. But atleast Argentina IE.. Inter Milan crushed Barcelona today. 3-1 finish. So, can someone help me out?! How many goals will it take for Barcelona to beat Inter Milan next week?

  15. pintadoazulblanco says:

Milito walked off the field so it didn’t appear to be a serious injury.

I don’t see Inter blowing a two goal lead.

Should be a great second leg.

  16. Chris says:

    great game…

    im happy for the guys..

well depending on next match, with the goal difference (barca’s goal counting as 2 tonight), the game is at a 3-2 inter, so if im not mistaken, Barca needs to win 1-0 to tie the match, or 2-0 to win, that means if inter wins 1-0 its over for barca !

    am i right ???

  17. mauricef says:

Chris I can say two things to you. 1)The DUMB ASS will be watching but as we know he has already made up his mind on HIS world cup squad, he doesn’t know a thing about tactics so even though zanetti and cuchu had a good game there is know way he would realize that. If he is indeed watching it is only sammy and milito that he is watching not zanetti and cuchu, OH THE AGONY OF HAVING THE WORST COACH EVER.2) Chris if you want to watch live football for free go on www. that is if you are not aware, it is where I watched the match.

  18. Chris says:

LOL, yeah Mauricef, i agree with you, i should’ve thought about that before i commented..

and thanks for the link, wasn’t aware of it.. great to know, thanks again for the heads up !

I don’t know what to say. I think i might root against Argentina in this world cup. The NT has become Maradona’s play thing to select boca players like palermo. palermo and maradona are both working together to get “La Doce” to the world cup… hence the sudden change of heart of la doce towards maradona and palermo, and their anger with roman… its a disgrace. ever since maradona took over as coach, he has been trying to take as many boca players as possible to get on the good side of la doce after he fell out with Roman… as seen when he was calling monzon and insua even though they weren’t starting for boca.

I’ve always disliked Riquelme, but now I am pro-roman for sticking up to the barra of boca. the barras are ruining football in our country, and for that, people like maradona and palermo are just as culpable…

now i am watching the estudiantes game and maradona is there watching his friend and EX BOCA TEAMMATE VERON play. Veron obviously has maradona’s ear, and la bruja is clearly trying to convince maradona to take angeleri, clemente, and sosa and even brana to the world cup. I am rooting so hard for Estudiantes to lose tonight.

Making matters worse, the Barra of estudiantes, are displaying the boca flag in their flag. now remember, the barra of estudiantes were culpable for a couple of deaths earlier in the year, and to me it is no coincidence what is going on. The world cup is obviously a goal for the barra of estudiantes as well, and with Veron and Maradona and Palermo, who is a fan of Estudiantes, I can see more behind the scenes work going on to get them to the world cup,..

All I am trying to say is Basta de Maradona, Palermo, Veron, La Doce, Angeleri, Clemente, Sosa, All the Boca/Palermo/Estudiantes/Veron biased media…

Maradona- you are scum. if we win the world cup it will have nothing to do with you. i hope you are chosen as boca coach after the wc so i can hate with all my heart each week

  20. pintadoazulblanco says:

I agree with your comments about Maradona.

He also called up Enzo Perez. Ridiculous.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Bilardo also had something to do with the unusual amount of Estudiantes players called up to the national team.

I mean, seriously. How many Estudiantes players does anybody recall ever seeing on the national team before Maradona?

Like you said, all the Boca biases in the callups and Maradona using the national team as his play thing.

    I’m so disgusted.

The WC callup list hasn’t been announced yet but I think we all know what is coming.

A squad full of crap players that do not belong on the national team.
