Tevez hoping for new deal at Manchester City

Carlos Tevez hoping for new deal at Manchester City as Real Madrid eye striker

The News of the World report today that Real Madrid have targeted Carlos Tevez , who after just one season at Manchester City is hoping to secure a new deal.

Tevez’s advisers believe he “he has not maximized his earning potential,” although he currently earns £130,000 a week, the Argentinean striker believes he should be on £160,000 a week which Robinho was on at Manchester City .

Rob Shepherd in the News of the World adds that “he knows his Argentina team-mate Lionel Messi is in on approaching £30m a year at Barcelona. On the basis he can be a major force alongside Messi at the World Cup, Tevez is ready to press to become English football’s top earner.”

Real Madrid and Inter Milan are following developments. Los Blancos will almost certainly bring some more big name players to the Bernabeu this summer and Tevez was close to signing for the Nerazzurri when he left Manchester United.

In 2009/2010, Carlos Tevez has scored 17 goals in 29 Premier League games for Manchester City , he has also chipped in with six assists.

    Morning guys…

lot of talk about Tevez possibly being transfered to Real Madrid or Inter.

as much as i would love to see him at Inter at the moment, I dont think Man. City will let him go right now..they Love this guy !

    Hi Chris,

I think he should stay in the Premier League, he would be making a mistake if he decided to join the Madrid circus.

Tevez has totally adapated to Premier League football and it shows.

  3. Chris says:

    I agree,

but i would like to see him at Inter with the rest of our guys…

I think it would be a bad move to go to Real, we all know how that goes…

so, what are ur thoughts on River’s game??? let me tell you man, great to see them win again, felt like a relief to be honest with you…
I didn’t get to watch the match, but did Diego get any minutes to play??? if so, how was his come back?

  4. Rune says:

Tevez has scored 22 PL goals so far this season, not 17.

  5. pintadoazulblanco says:

Tevez would be able to adapt to Serie A football quickly and it would be great if he joined Inter but the club does not appear to be interested in him. That could change, of course.

As far as River, besides the importance of the win, the team looked better than it has in many games.

It’ll be very important to have Buonanotte back in the starting lineup next season. Hopefully Orteguita can keep it together for at least one more season.

But we still need to sign a good forward and need to strengthen the midfield and the backline.

Passarella needs to figure out how to come up with the money to sign the quality players we need.

It may be just a dream but I hope that he can bring back D’Alessandro or Aimar, Saviola and Cavenaghi.
