    Chris,

How do you think Messi looks with that Newell’s shirt playing football back in his younger days?

    🙂

  2. Humbird says:

I wish they would stop all this living legend stuff. It’s not only ridiculous but at this point, not true.

  3. chris says:

    LOL,

im telling you brother, the best come out of NOB, Bati,Messi, etc…

    im kidding.

LOL, I have to admit, we all know the best come out of River most of the time, which im ok with tht as well, since i root for them too.

Hey, don’t forget Walter Samuel, Maxi Rodriguez, Mauricio Pochettino who now coaches Deportivo Espanyol, Abel Balbo, Sensini, and

Clearly the best player on the planet right now. Not Rooney, not CR9, no one can measure to Messi’s shear brilliance.

  5. pintadoazulblanco says:

If you read the English media, a significant segment of it places Rooney on the same level as Messi.

I even heard that during a recent Barca champions league game. One of the English commentators was saying that Rooney should be considered right there alongside Messi as the best player in the world.

    That is nonsense.

Messi is every bit the goal scorer that Rooney is.

Rooney is not every bit the player that Messi is.

  6. Chris says:

    HAAAAA HAHAHAH

    yes, unfortunetly Heinze too…….

yeah, commenting on that Rooney comment people are saying, BS !!

dont get me wrong, i think Rooney is a awesome player, but not the same level as Messi, and im not saying this cuz Messi is one of ours, but because Rooney doesn’t have the skills and the same movements messi does.. that comment whoever that guy was this week who said was truly bothering

  7. pintadoazulblanco says:

Well Chris, everybody has their biases but it is clear to see that Rooney does not have the skills and cannot do the things that Messi does on the field.

Rooney cannot maintain control of the ball while running at a fast pace like Messi does.

Rooney cannot dribble around 4-5 players like Messi does.

Rooney is not capable of scoring the type of great goals that Messi does.

Just compare Rooney’s greatest goals to Messi’s greatest goals.

That said, Rooney is a fantastic player, no doubt.

But it is silly to say that he is just as good a player as Messi.

  8. ArgenPool says:

The english media is a joke, I know this first hand living there. To say any player on the planet is even close to Messi is beyond ridiculous. As a Liverpool fan I consider Torres to be one of the best strikers in the game, while I dont like them, I can see that both Ronaldo and Roooney are top quality players, but none of them can touch Messi. Truly unique.
