Yes, the best goal from Week 1 in my opinion.

You must not be a frequent reader of this blog. If you were, you would know that I’m not a Riquelme fan.

I’ve been reading this blog for a while, but I’ve never asked who you support? Sos de River? o Independiente?

  5. pintadoazulblanco says:

    River

I have to say, this was the best Goal of the week..

Im not a big fan of Riquelme either, but when he is in good form, he can do some fancy plays..not sure if him coming back to the squad would make a change for us.. maybe ????

do you think he’ll make a announcement before the WC, and come back ???

  7. pintadoazulblanco says:

I think Riquelme has made it clear that he will not play for the national team, at least while Maradona is manager.

Let’s keep in mind that he is someone that has quit the national team twice.

Why should he be given any more callups?

Not only has he quit the national team twice but he abandoned the current team during the most difficult part the WC qualifiers.

Do the national team players respect Riquelme?

Let’s not forget what the players were singing on the team bus after the France friendly last year:

‘We are all here, the team is complete, do not call up anyone else.”

    Crystal clear.

Riquelme’s history with the national team is a history of failure.

When has Riquelme delivered in a big game?

One of the best things to happen to Argentina in recent memory is that Riquelme no longer plays on the national team.
