It’s official. Bolatti is heading to the Serie A.
Mario Bolatti moves to Fiorentina
The midfielder who started his footballing career at Belgrano de Cordoba will be the ‘Viola’s’ new player, after that team closed a deal with FC Porto, Bolatti’s current club. Though the amount of the transfer is not confirmed, it is said that Fiorentina will pay around 6,5 million Euros (9,3 million Dollars) for the 24 year old.
The team where Gabriel Omar Batistuta played in the nineties will receive in the next hours another Argentinean to reinforce the midfield. So Mario Bolatti won’t be playing for Boca, or River, or even in Argentina. The team who gets him is the one that made the effort to pay for him.
With great performances for Huracan and scoring the goal that qualified Argentina for the World Cup against Uruguay in Montevideo, the Cordoba born earned his transfer to an important institution that is having a good time.
Fiorentina is through to the second round of the Champions League and navigates without trouble in the Serie A.
Bolatti will be playing alongside quality footballers such as Peruvian Juan Vargas (former Colon de Santa Fe), captain Riccardo Montolivo, Alberto Gilardino and Sebastian Frey among others. The only Argentine in the team coached by Cesare Parandelli is Mario Santana (former San Lorenzo).
Fiore adds Bolatti signing to those of Brazilian centre-back Felipe from Udinese, and Serb winger Adem Ljalic from Partizan.
