Maradona has doubts about staying as manager

Maradona spoke to the media and expressed doubts on whether he’ll continue as national team manager after the WC qualifiers, assuming of course that Argentina qualifies.

Maradona said that he’ll wait and see after the WC qualifiers if he’ll continue as national team manager. Maradona also said that his comittment right now is only to the Argentina players.

Not surprisingly, Maradona looks and sounds like a person that is overwhelmed by the pressures of the job and of the task at hand.

It really appears that Maradona is reaching the end of the line as national team manager.

I hope he does leave, HE’LL BE DOING US ALL A FAVOR !
i just really hope this doesn’t affect any of our players, mentally/emotionally.

The best case scenario would of course be for Argentina to qualify and for Maradona to leave.

Maradona really looks and sounds like a beaten man.

It’s obvious that the ongoing power struggle between him, Bilardo and Grondona has worn him out. In addition to the enormous pressure of being the national team manager and the pressure of Argentina possibly not qualifying to the world cup.

I think it is too much for him, especially for someone like him, who is not trained, qualified, has very little experience as manager and is psychologically/emotionally unstable.

If anyone believes that the pressure is not getting to Maradona, then why would a national team manager talk about quitting three days before a highly important WC qualifying game.

    Andate Diego. Por favor. Andate.

    AGUANTE ARGENTINA!!!

  4. Humbird says:

Nobody wants bad things for Diego. But this was an obvious failure from very early on. Why it was allowed to continue is a mystery.
