It was a decent game from both Kun and Maxi. I hope Maxi can actually play well for the National Team next time out. He has been invisible for Argentina the last couple of games. Lisandro was also on target with a penalty in Lyon win over Aderlecht. Mascherano was in action as well, but I must say, he has looked a little off the pace for Liverpool thus far. He looked better against stoke, but he was down right awful against Spurs. Funny how he looked so great against Russia, then struggle 4 days later. I know Masch will be at his best once he puts the Argentina shirt on, but I’d like to see him improve for his club.
M-Rod will forever be in my memories for that goal vs. Mexico in 2006. Maxi Maxi Maxi
One of my all-time favorite goals.
An in form Maxi is very important for Argentina.
As far as Masche, he did not play well in the season opener but all of Liverpool looked flat. I didn’t see yesterday’s game.
It’s a long season.
I wouldn’t worry about him, Masche will be ready for Brasil and will be back in form with his club team.
A great run in the Europa league qualifiers by Argentines yesterday. Di Maria and Saviola were on target for Benfica. Zarate scored for Lazio. Figueroa hit a brace for Genoa, and he was partnered by Palacio up front, so it looks like Genoa are gonna use Boca’s team! Ibagaza scored for Villareal, although at his age I doubt Maradona is considering him. Otamendi looked decent against Boca last night from about the 30 minutes of the game i saw. I’m glad to see El Pato is no longer under National Team consideration because he had a howler! I’m excited for the domestic season to get under way this weekend. I also look forward to catching some of Serie A, as there are so many Argentines in the league. I want to see how Milito links of with Eto’o.
Definitely a very good start to the European season.
I watched the Boca-Velez game, Otamendi played well.
One of the very few good moves that Maradona has made was calling him up to the national team.
A player with a great future ahead of him.
