Juan Sebastian Veron and Carlos Tevez will miss Argentina’s friendly against Russia in Moscow next week due to injury, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) said on Tuesday.

Striker Tevez called Diego Maradona to say he had aggravated a twisted ankle and midfielder Veron told the coach he had not recovered from a leg muscle injury, AFA said.

Argentina visit Russia on Aug. 12 for a warm-up for their World Cup qualifiers against Brazil at home and Paraguay away next month.

why is it that for some reason every time argentina has a game, “Veron” is hurt some how ??? i know he’s getting older, but everytime argentina plays, he has some kind of problem….

    You’re right.

That seems to be the story of Veron’s career with the national team.

Maradona has already said that Veron will be leading Argentina’s attack in the world cup.

    Very troubling.
