La Pulga Messi and Pipita Higuain are on a goal scoring tear this season.
Messi is tied for first place with David Villa and Higuain is in second place in the top goal scorers standings in Spain.
Messi has scored 17 goals and Higuain 16 goals so far this season.
This is really great news for the national team with just four months remaining before the start of the World Cup.
In addition to them, Milito is having another great season in Italy, Tevez is regaining his goal scoring form at the right time in England and Lisandro Lopez has already reached double digits in goals scored in France.
Maradona will no doubt have plenty of goal scorers to choose from for the World Cup squad but in my opinion Messi & Higuain are at this moment the best Argentine forwards in the world.
They’re both in spectacular form and bring more than just goal scoring to the national team.
They should be in the starting lineup in the World Cup.
….if they can continue these scoring ways with the NT.
