World Cup Draw

December 4, 2009

The day is finally here.

We’ll find out in just a few hours who will be Argentina’s first round opponents in the World Cup.

Will Argentina once again be in the group of death?

or

Will Argentina catch a break this time and have a more “accessible” group?

A few things that are certain.

One of the two African teams that will be drawn first will go in Argentina’s group. Depending on the team that could be good or bad.

There will be one European team drawn into Argentina’s group and that also could be good or bad depending on the team.

Today is a big day.

How does everybody feel about the draw?

Will it be a good day for Argentina?

Bilardo will attend World Cup Draw

December 3, 2009

Maradona has reportedly asked Carlos Bilardo to represent Argentina at the World Cup draw tomorrow and the national team coordinator has accepted.

Agent insists Zarate move was legitimate

The agent of Mauro Zarate has insisted his client’s permanent transfer to Lazio was correct despite speculation suggesting otherwise.

According to Sky Italia, Zarate’s former club Al-Sadd are considering filing a complaint to FIFA regarding the Argentina forward’s move to Rome.

Mauro Zarate’s agent insists his client’s move to Lazio was correct

“Lazio bought him and that is it,” Zarate’s agent Sergio Zarate told tuttomercatoweb.it. “They (Al-Sadd) can say whatever they want but I see no problem of any nature.

“Lazio did what it said on the contract, there was a buy-out clause and they paid it. I cannot understand this behaviour, we should ask Al-Sadd the reasons behind it.”

Zarate moved to Lazio officially on July 9 2008 after the payment of 20million euros to exercise a clause to terminate his contract. Sky Italia are reporting Al-Sadd have been angered by reports Lazio allegedly handed the money for the buy-out clause directly to the player to make Zarate want to leave the Qatar club.
